Manchester United have sacked Jose Mourinho as manager – to absolutely no one’s surprise. Seven wins from 17 Premier League games finds the Red Devils all the way down in sixth at the moment and already 11 points below fourth. Poor displays have plagued United and many believe it’s Mourinho’s dull and defensive style of play that’s caused their demise. So one person that will be very happy to see the Portuguese leave is Paul Pogba, whose career has somewhat stalled over the past six months. Pogba’s relationship with Mourinho at United was strained to say the least following multiple training ground bust-ups about his attitude and performances for the club. It saw the Frenchman regularly dropped to the bench or slammed by Mourinho in the media – perhaps unfairly at times. All that frustration culminated in the cheekiest of Instagram posts on Tuesday morning as Pogba reacted to the news by uploading a picture of himself smirking. “Caption this” was what Pogba wrote alongside the image, which also had United’s Instagram account tagged but was then deleted 10 minutes later. Check it out below.Pogba’s post wasn’t the smartest move in truth and now United legend Gary Neville has let rip with a damning tweet in response. Neville tweeted: “‘Caption this’.You do one as well!” Just like Pogba made his feelings crystal clear about Mourinho getting sacked, Neville has showed the 25-year-old exactly what he thinks of him right now. Perhaps it would be best if Pogba stayed clear of social media until the dust has settled on Mourinho’s departure.
