Chelsea’s Izzy Brown has made his long awaited return to action, and Leeds United supporters couldn’t be more happier. The 21-year-old, who spent the first-half of last season at Brighton and Hove Albion, has been out since suffering a Cruciate Ligament Rupture in January which cut the loan deal short. Despite not fully recovering from the injury, Brown was allowed to join the Whites until the end of the season during the summer transfer window. As a result, he became the latest member of the west London outfit’s loan army and linked up with Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman at Elland Road. Whilst the latter duo have featured under Marcelo Bielsa this season, Brown is yet to make an appearance thus far. Although his first-team United debut could be imminent after completing first 45 minutes for the U23’s in their 3-0 loss against their Birmingham City counterparts on Friday afternoon. Taking to social media following the game, Brown sent a message to the Leeds supporters. “10 months out, first 45 mins back out there!,” he posted on Twitter.”It’s never felt so good to be on a pitch. “Thank you so much for all the positive energy in such a difficult time, it’s appreciated!” To which a number of fans responded with similar messages of support for the attacking midfielder. Leeds went into the international break three points behind Championship leaders Norwich City. Brown could prove to be a lucky omen for the Whites having helped Huddersfield Town earn promotion to the Premier League in the 2016-17 season, scoring four goals in the second half of the campaign.
