IAAF 2019 Doha: 800m Men’s Final @ World Athletic Championship

Donavan Brazier won the 800m gold medal of IAAF 2019 @ a time of 1:42.34. The twenty two (22) year old broke the 32-year-old Championship record and 34-year-old United States records. He is the first US 800m runner to win this title.

He quoted that

*”To be world champion at 22-years-old – I can’t believe it. To be the first from the US to win a world championship 800m title feels wonderful. I hope I get some love for it back home!”* (courtesy: IAAF website – iaaf.org)

At the end of long and thrilling 10 days of action, the American’s topped the medals table with 14 GOLD, 11 Silver and 4 Bronze totalling 29 medals.
