Ilias Iliadis Wins Greece’s First Judo Gold – Athens 2004 Olympics

Ilias Iliadis is a Georgian born Greek judoka who was 17 years-old at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games where he overcame his young age and international inexperience to win Greece’s first ever Olympic gold in judo.

Iliadis was also the flag bearer for Greece at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and won his second Olympic medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games, this time a bronze.
