LeBron James is arguably the greatest basketball player of our time because winning four championships isn’t a small feat. However, getting to the top comes with inherent bumps, like negative criticisms from haters and crazy life choices. Whatever you think of him, it doesn’t change the fact that he is the best player in the NBA in terms of talent.
Without further ado, we look at the top 15 most embarrassing moments for LeBron James.
Our first entry is High school daze
LeBron James was anointed the next Michael Jordan right from his high school days at St. Mary in Akron. He accomplished many feats and lived up to the expectations of everyone who believed in him. However, it wasn’t all rosy for the star. The youngster was stripped of his high school eligibility because he violated the rules by accepting the gift of two sports Jerseys worth about $900. As a result, the Athletic Association ruled he was ineligible for the final five regular-season games. His team was, after that, forced to forfeit their win. Although it happened in his career’s early days, it is still one of the most embarrassing moments in his career.

Next is Loses HORSE game to David Kalb
LeBron is a household name even among non-sports fans. On the other hand, David Kalb was a warehouse worker who played James in a HORSE game at a promotional event in Venice Beach, California. The game was scheduled shortly after the Beijing Olympics, where the star had won a gold medal. Considering his achievement at the tournament, there was no chance for the warehouse worker to defeat him in anything, especially HORSE, a game based on making tough shots. Unknown to spectators, Kalb had lots of tricks down his sleeves, and it was shocking to see how a regular person beat one of the best players on the continent.

The next one – Wears suit shorts to the 2018 finals
Terrific events happen each passing day, but there’s nothing more terrific and confusing than Lebron James’ attire for Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals. Although he wore an expensive suit, spectators quickly mocked him because it didn’t look like pants but shorts. Ironically, he isn’t the first NFL or NBA player to wear something like that, but because it’s him, it just had to make the news. Thom Browne designed the shots because there were thousands of articles about them from reliable sources. The Caves liked to wear something similar as a sign of unity, and LeBron was forced to appear like that. He found it cool and believes wearing it stands for unity.

Next – LeBron Mural in L.A. gets defaced
Not everyone in Los Angeles was excited about the news that Lebron joined their favorite team. This situation best explains why his mural painted by graffiti artist Fernando Valdez was defaced. It had ‘King of L.A.’ boldly written on it, and the painting took over the entire back wall of a restaurant. A Twitter account called Laker fanbase offered $300 to anyone who would destroy the mural. Well, someone took them up on their offer and used gold spray to write ‘No King’ ‘we don’t want you,’ ‘LeFraud, etc. Valdez repainted it and tried to negotiate with anti-LeBron haters, but it didn’t work. He tried to modify his writeup, but one hater was caught on surveillance camera splashing white paint on the drawing.

Next – Fake Pizza promise
People like James have a mass following on social media and hardly do their posts without massive engagement. He had just come out of a Twitter hiatus when he joked that he wanted to visit a pizza place in Culver City, Los Angeles. Blaze Pizza was running a promo at the time, and the celebrity suggested that he’ll make a brief stop to pick up some slices. All Blaze locations were overwhelmed with eager fans who wanted to spend time with their favorite celebrity. It turned out he wouldn’t come and used his post to mislead fans to the shop. They later realized that he was one of the company’s earliest investors and had taken advantage of them. No one was impressed.
