Manchester City took an early 1-0 lead over Olympiacos in Group C action. Ferran Torres pushed the hosts out to the lead in the 12’ after Manchester City utterly dominated possession to start the match.
After a back and forth second half, Olympiacos continued to threaten and just would not go away quietly. However, in the 81’ Gabriel Jesus blasted a rocket into the back of the net to double the Man. City lead and add a nice insurance goal late. Manchester City would tack on a goal in the 90’ by João Cancelo to solidify the 3-0 Group C win.
