Nepal’s wicket-keeper Aasif Sheikh performed one of the great Spirit of Cricket moments of all time as he refused to run-out Ireland’s Andy McBrine in the Oman Cricket Quadrangular T20I Series.

The incident occurred off the second ball of the 19th over, as bowler Kamal Singh Airee bowled to batsman Mark Adair’s attempted hit not going too far. As the bowler rushed to collect the ball in his follow through, he accidentally tripped an onrushing non-striker Andy McBrine who then fell to the ground. Nepal’s Wicketkeeper Aasif Sheikh decided against taking the bails off being guided by his captain Sandeep Lamichhane (21).
