Manchester City came into this match just needing to avoid defeat in order to keep their chances alive to move onto the Round of 16. Man City did one better with a 1-0 victory over Olympiacos. The three points helped push Manchester City on to the Round of 16.

In the 36’ Gabriel Jesus slipped the ball down the left side to Raheem Sterling who was able to find Phil Foden with the back-heel and Foden finished it wonderfully to give Manchester their only goal of the match but it was all the English side needed as they clamped down defensively and won 1-0 over Olympiacos.
