Who should replace Vance when John Elway ultimately fires him? That’s a great question and it depends on who is actually available. Mike McCarthy, John Harbaugh, John DeFilippo, Lincoln Riley??? The real issue is quarterback Case Keenum isn’t getting it done on the field. The Broncos need a QB just as much as they need a head coach who can manage the final minutes of a game. In this loss to the Browns, Vance elected to kick a field goal on 4th and 1, on the 6 yard line. With everything on the line he plays it so safe they lost the game. It was the first time the Browns beat the Broncos since 1990, and the first time they won in Denver in like a million years. Running back Nick Chubb won the battle of the CHUBBS as Bradley Chubb did not have a sack in this game. Baker Mayfield did turn the ball over a few times and was not accurate passing in this game even with the win. That’s Good Sports gives Elway permission to fire Vance, and recaps the full game.
