It’s happened again.   David de Gea’s nightmare run of form continued on Sunday when his awful error allowed Chelsea to equalise in Manchester United’s crucial top four clash at Old Trafford.  With United leading 1-0 through Juan Mata’s well-taken strike, De Gea somehow fumbled a long-range effort from Antonio Rudiger straight into the path of Marcos Alonso, who finished smartly.   The mistake was the latest in a line of recent howlers from the previously unflappable De Gea, who let an effort from Lionel Messi pass straight through him in United’s Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona , and also failed to handle a Leroy Sane shot in last week’s Manchester derby.  Up in the Sky Sports studio, co-commentator and former United star Gary Neville had some advice for the goalkeeper.  “He needs to get away from football in the summer and reset,” said Neville over the replays of Alonso’s goal.  “De Gea has built up so much credit but he is having a really torrid time. He is having a nightmare of a time.  “Credit to Alonso for following it in, (Ashley) Young, (Ander) Herrera, (Eric) Bailly, they don’t.”  Alonso’s goal levelled the scores and took Chelsea in at half-time level at 1-1.
